ISSUE

Variability in Usage Frequency and Lack of Practical Utilization Skills

As part of its company-wide DX initiatives, a major beverage and food manufacturer had introduced a dedicated internal generative AI tool. However, an analysis of post-implementation usage revealed a significant disparity in usage frequency between employees who used the tool on a daily basis and those who did not.
While the value of generative AI was broadly recognized, many employees lacked practical knowledge, such as how to apply it to their day-to-day work or how to write effective prompts. As a result, there was a growing need for education and awareness initiatives to drive sustained, company-wide adoption.
SOLUTION

Online Seminars and Practical Training Programs

To accelerate generative AI adoption, we delivered a two-phase support program consisting of online seminars and hands-on training. First, we planned and delivered online seminars for several hundred employees, providing a foundational understanding of generative AI along with practical guidance on how it can be applied in day-to-day business. The sessions also covered market trends and use cases to offer a practical, real-world perspective.
Next, we designed an intensive short-term training program for interested participants focused on developing prompt engineering skills. Through exercises based on real business challenges, participants acquired the ability to tailor generative AI to their own work, enabling them to take on active roles as internal generative AI ambassadors.
RESULT

Doubling the Number of Generative AI Tool Users and Entrenching a Utilization Culture Through Internal Ambassadors

Hundreds of employees participated in the online seminars, which received high ratings in surveys. Following the events, the daily number of users of the dedicated internal generative AI tool doubled, greatly contributing to the entrenchment of generative AI utilization. Furthermore, participants acquired the ability to design and improve prompts themselves through the training programs and took on the role of ambassadors who promote generative AI utilization in their departments. As a result, utilization is expanding beyond the small group of leading users and is spreading as company-wide culture. For the future, plans include advanced training, and efforts are underway to evolve generative AI from a personal tool into an organizational system.
